In this Privacy Policy we inform you, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, about the type, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data when you use our website.

We operate our online store under the shop name Sadie Dublin and supply goods to customers in Ireland and the European Union. As we are based outside the EU but offer goods to customers in the EU, we process personal data in accordance with the EU GDPR.

2. International processing

Sadie Dublin is operated by MF Associates Limited, a company based outside the European Union. Because we offer goods to customers in the EU, we process the personal data of EU customers in accordance with the EU GDPR. 3. Access data / Hosting

When you visit our website, data (so-called server log files) is automatically collected, which your browser transmits to our server or hosting provider: the page visited, date and time, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system, and IP address (shortened / anonymised).

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the stability and functionality of our website). Our website is hosted on Shopify. Where data is transferred to servers outside the EU, this takes place under the appropriate safeguards described in section 8.

4. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to provide features and improve the user experience. We use essential cookies (for example the shopping cart and checkout) on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and our legitimate interest in providing the website. Analytics, statistical and advertising cookies are set only after you give your consent through our cookie banner (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

5. Contacting us

When you contact us via our contact form or by email, we process your information to handle your request. Legal bases: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (general communication). Your data is deleted once your request has been fully processed, unless statutory retention periods apply.

6. Customer account and orders

When you open a customer account or place an order, we process: name; billing and delivery address; email address; phone number (optional); and order data. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Data is stored in accordance with applicable legal and tax requirements and subsequently deleted.

7. Payment processing

Payments are processed by our payment service providers (for example Shopify Payments / Stripe and PayPal). For this purpose the following data may be transmitted: name, billing address, payment details and order information. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We do not store full payment card details on our own servers.

8. Shipping, logistics and international transfers

To deliver your order, we transmit the necessary data (name, delivery address, and telephone number if provided) to our fulfilment and shipping partners. Some of these partners are located in countries outside the EU/EEA, which may not provide the same level of data protection as the EU. Where we transfer your personal data outside the EU, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, so that your data remains protected. Legal bases: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the contract) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in fulfilling orders).

9. Advertising, analytics and statistics

We use analytics and advertising tools to measure and optimise our website and our marketing. These include Google services (such as Google Ads and its campaign and conversion-tracking features, and Google Analytics) and Meta Platforms tools (including the Meta Pixel for Facebook and Instagram), as well as similar advertising partners.

These analytics and advertising tools are activated, and the related cookies are set, only after you have given your consent through our cookie banner (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR); without your consent, they are not used. They are not intended for users under the age of 13. Data may be transferred to Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. in the United States under appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future through the cookie-preferences link on our website.

10. Newsletter (if you subscribe)

If you register for our email newsletter, we use a double opt-in procedure: we send the newsletter only after you expressly confirm your subscription. The only mandatory data is your email address. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each newsletter, after which your email address is removed from the distribution list.

11. Your rights under the GDPR

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), to object (Art. 21), and to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)). Requests may be sent to info@sadiedublin.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Ireland the competent authority is the Data Protection Commission (DPC), 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, Ireland – www.dataprotection.ie.

12. Storage duration

We retain personal data as follows: order, billing and transaction records are kept for 6 years, in line with Irish tax and accounting requirements (Revenue); newsletter and marketing data are kept until you unsubscribe or object; customer account data are kept while your account is active; and technical server log data are kept only for a short period. After the applicable period, the data is routinely deleted unless there is a continuing legal basis to retain it.
